Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Susan Smolinski has been exhibiting her art, mainly paintings in oil, on canvas or wood panel, since 1992. She began her painting career in Denver, Colorado, and remained a strong participant in its alternative art scene for many years. Since then, the artist has lived in the Hudson Valley, focusing more closely on writing. Her published written work consists of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and prose poetry.
